“When I was a student, I majored in applied physics and blue laser was a popular topic. I was interested in the possibility of semiconductors and wanted to be involved in the development of the industry. I joined KLA because it’s involved in the leading-edge technology of the semiconductor industry. My work involves the service process & maintenance of KLA tools, as well as, repairs to the optics, computers and software. We deal with high precision tools and there are instances when a problem cannot be solved by myself, but finding a solution by getting advice and help from other peers is very rewarding. Team work is motivating. Being able to provide products and technical skills to meet the needs of our customers through our internal training programs is a big advantage.”
“I was a process integration engineer of high speed SRAM in my previous company. I’m fascinated by leading edge semiconductor process and technologies at various semiconductor companies so I joined KLA as an Applications Engineer.
Although it’s a big challenge to find creative solutions for leading edge customer problems, KLA has a culture that encourages open discussions and collaboration with various regions and divisions and it is inspiring! I’ve contributed to the latest device R&D and HVM and it is a worthwhile and rewarding task.

“It’s been 11 years since I joined KLA. The offices are in various areas around the globe and it provides many opportunities to talk and work with people worldwide. I have had the opportunity to learn and grow and experience many things. I’ve become a troubleshooting modeler of inspection tools with our Technical Support Engineers, provided overseas support to train local Customer Support Engineers and lead a product team to start-up a new fab. I’m involved with a lot of people and I get a sense of accomplishment each time. KLA has taught me that personal growth is how you deal with and solve the problem when you are confronted with an issue. I am constantly learning and growing.”
